Craig Ritter is president and owner of Ritter Insurance Marketing. For the past 11 years, Craig has invited agents and carriers to the Summits, an annual gathering to launch upcoming Medicare Advantage, Part D, Medicare Supplement, and Life & Annuity products.
Carrying 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Craig has built a national Field Marketing Organization that serves thousands of agents with a client base totaling more than $100 million in Medicare Supplement premium and nearly 316,000 Medicare Advantage and Part D enrollees.
The Summits are Craig's annual opportunity to reconnect with his "family" of agents and tease what the company has planned for the next year.
Craig holds a degree in Finance from Penn State (’92), is a member of NAHU, and is on the board of NAIFA of Greater Harrisburg. He resides in Harrisburg with his wife, Heidi, and his children, Quinn, Callie, and Cash.
Amy is a graduate of Millersville University. She became employed with Coventry after she graduated from college and began her career on the commercial side of the company. She has been with Coventry/Aetna for more than 12 years and became the Medicare broker manager for Central PA in 2008. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to ice hockey games, and shopping!
Tonya R. Moody is the Vice President of AmeriHealth Caritas’ Pennsylvania Medicare VIP plans serving dual-eligible members.
Her role is to provide senior leadership, strategic direction, and oversight to drive financial and operational service compliance. She is also responsible for advancing solutions and innovations to position the VIP lines of business as premier plans of choice within the enterprise.
Ms. Moody began her career with AmeriHealth Caritas more than 28 years ago, holding a variety of key positions that demonstrate her extensive skill set and commitment to excellence. Her strengths include sales, marketing, brand reinforcement, business development, and program implementation and management.
Ms. Moody has received a great deal of recognition and many awards for her work, including being chosen by Tribune Magazine as one of 10 “Women on the Move” — a salute to African American women and their achievements in corporate America. She also received a prestigious appointment to serve as an Innovation Advisor for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Ms. Moody received her Bachelor of Science degree in health policy and administration with a concentration in nursing from The Pennsylvania State University. She is a graduate of Temple University’s graduate business program, with a concentration in organization and productivity management. In addition, Ms. Moody is a graduate of Leadership Inc., Dale Carnegie Leadership, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Community Partnership programs. She currently serves as board Treasurer of Philadelphia-based Sayre Health Center.
Kerri Livengood is the account executive for Allwell in southwest Pennsylvania. She has been with the company for over a year. Prior to joining the company, she was an independent broker for numerous insurance carriers. She has been married for 11 years and has a seven-year-old daughter who continually encourages her to strive for success. Being in the insurance business gives her a sense of gratification since she is helping those in need and building relationships.
Because she is an account executive working with her current broker partners, she can build lasting relationships within the industry, which often lead to lifelong friendships. She is speaking at the Summits to help her partners in this industry grow, and to allow them to continue to work as a team and serve the Medicare population together. She believes anything is possible when you have the right people beside you!
Tom Kennedy has worked in the Medicare business for 20 years, both on the carrier and broker side. He started as an agent selling Medicare Supplements and then was recruited by a regional Medicare Advantage company to do product and compliance training throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
He then transitioned back to distribution as vice president of sales and was tasked with building and growing the sales team in Pennsylvania and New York. Prior to joining Capital BlueCross, he was a Medicare consultant for a large full-service agency in south central Pennsylvania.
Tessa Rado is a UPMC for Life Medicare Broker Relations Manager for the Western Pennsylvania Region. She has been with UPMC Health Plan for over two years and has been selling and marketing Medicare for the past seven years. Tessa is well-versed in Medicare Advantage, Medigap, D-SNP, and Community Health Choices, and thoroughly enjoys sharing her knowledge with her agent roster. She is especially enthusiastic when training and presenting to new agents because she gets the chance to show them how rewarding a career in Medicare sales can be.
Prior to becoming a licensed health and life agent, Tessa worked in the title insurance industry for eight years. As a licensed title insurance producer and vice president of portfolio accounts, she traveled all over the United States to help successfully build new partnerships for her company. Tessa’s favorite charities to support are the Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh and the Miracle League of South Hills.
With over 15 years of experience in the Medicare industry, Derek Hicks has served in various sales and management roles with several major carriers. Prior to joining Centene (PA Health & Wellness), he also had the opportunity to manage and support the Medicare broker community on the agency side of the business throughout Pennsylvania.
He has been married for 16 years and has two very active children, ages 15 and 13. His passion is building relationships and contributing to the success of all facets of his sales organization. Derek believes Centene has built a tremendously talented team throughout the state, and he looks forward to contributing to the company’s growth and future success here in Pennsylvania.
Judy Gee has worked with Ritter Insurance Marketing to support agents and agencies in the northeast market for six years, and she has been in the Medicare market for 10 years and counting. She was a financial representative with Northwestern Mutual for nine years and understands the experiences and challenges that agents face in the field.
Judy lives in Syracuse, New York with her husband and two children. She’s looking forward to continued success with Ritter and partnering with new agents in 2020!
Adwan Fares is the Senior Manager of MarketPoint Sales for Humana in south central and southwestern Pennsylvania. He has been with the company for over 11 years. Adwan is completely engaged in supporting and helping external partners grow. Prior to coming to the United States and joining the company, he was a medical doctor in Romania. Changing his career to the insurance industry gave him the opportunity to continue to help people live their healthiest lives.
Adwan has a medical doctorate degree, and he holds a master’s degree in business administration. He is looking forward to speaking at this year’s Summit and engaging with the agents attending the event!
Michael Simon is a senior market manager at Humana for the Greater Philadelphia area. Mike has been working in the Medicare field for 25 years, with the last 15 years being at Humana. Mike specializes in the Medicare Advantage, Medicare PDP, and Medicare Supplement market, growing Medicare membership, and creating a positive consumer experience.
Mike is a graduate of Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science and the Disney Institute. He is a lifelong Philadelphian, and currently resides in Lafayette Hill with his wife, three sons, and two dogs.
